SHP Fellows Criteria

Nominations and self-nominations are invited for Fellow status in the Society for the History of Psychology (SHP), APA Division 26. An individual who has been a member of Division 26 and APA for one year or more and whose work has been recognized as making outstanding and unusual contributions to the study of History of Psychology may be nominated for Fellow status. For initial Fellows (not already a Fellow of another division), APA requires specific evidence of national or international impact. For individuals who are Fellows in another division, evidence of outstanding contributions specifically in history of psychology is required. 


Initial Fellows must apply by December 15 each year using the APA Online Application Platform 


Current Fellows (i.e., those holding Fellow status in other divisions): Do NOT use the APA online Application Platform. Instead, all materials should be sent electronically to the Div. 26 Fellows Chair by December 15
